| Description: | Petroleum Jelly Commercial / Technical Grades INTRODUCTION: The technical grade Petroleum jellies are manufactured from highly refined mineral oils & imported superior waxes & are yellow, translucent, with its characteristic faint petroleum odour & tasteless. These are unctuous & waxy to touch & exhibit very good lubricity properties, with very high flash & fire points, making it safe to handle/ use in diverse applications. APPLICATIONS: On account of its high lubricity & chemically inert nature, Yellow Petroleum Jelly finds varied applications in general purpose lubrication in Industry, Printing Ink formulations, FMCG Stationery Products, Rubber Products, Dyes, Mould Release agents, Fire Arms lubrication, Foundry Fluxes, Battery Terminal lubrication, Compounding of Rubber, Mining Chemicals, Metal working lubricant formulations, Defence etc TYPICAL PROPERTIES: Appearance : White to Yellow, Translucent, Waxy Solid, unctuous to touch with strong petroleum odour Consistency @25 °C : 100 to 200 Melting Point : 45 to 55 °C Foreign Organic Matter : Complies Solubility : Soluble in various Hydro-carbon solvents, Insoluble in Alcohol & Water Specific Gravity @ 60 °C : 0.81 – 0.84 Kinematic Viscosity @ 100 °C,cst : 4.0 – 8.0 Flash Point (COC) : Min 170 °C Sulphated Ash : Less than 1% Reactions : Complies Testing procedure: As per relevant ASTM/ IS standards PACKING : 170 Kgs M.S. open mouth Barrels. | |
